Susan M. Sherrod

Susan M. Sherrod earned her bachelor’s degree, from Western Michigan University in 1975, and her law degree from Detroit Law School in 1992.  While in law school, she served on the Moot Court honors board and was named best oralist in the administrative moot court competition.  She is admitted in all State and Federal courts in Nevada and Michigan, and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She is a member of the Clark County Bar Association, the State Bar of Nevada, the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.  A former member of a major metropolitan police department, Susan has also served on the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Citizen Review Board and Use of Force Board.  She also provides legal services to a variety of law enforcement unions related to their administrative and internal investigative matters.  Susan is primarily a litigation and trial attorney with a varied practice, which includes premises/product liability defense, insurance defense, municipal liability defense, the investigation of insurance fraud, alternative dispute resolution and workers’ compensation defense.
